Overview

Skillify is a web-based/mobile Knowledge Management Application that can be hosted in the cloud, or on-premise. It lets each employee manage his or her skill profile. If a colleague needs help, they can search directly across profiles or publish a question ticket openly on the forum. Helpful colleagues can then connect proactively.

A simple and intuitive UI and therefore maximal user acceptance was the top recommendation from the start despite the complexity of the application’s workflow processes.

The issue when it comes to knowledge is not communication. People know how to communicate, and they already have the right tools. The issue is finding the right person with the right skills. Therefore, the focus of Skillify is finding rather than communicating.

Skillify is based on the Pack of 7 Framework for Applications with its integrated Extension Module. This module is designed to let us easily add new custom functionality to the application without changing the applications core. Examples: Workflows, EMail notifications, Reports and many more.

Skillify is based on the Pack of 7 Framework for Applications with its integrated Language Module. This module is designed to let you chose the languages that you need. It let's the user chose his or her language and it lets you as an administrator edit the application text for different languages. The number of languages you can add is not limited. The languages English, German, Frensh and Spanish are already included in the standard application.

The user in need of help can either connect directly to colleagues via the Profile Search Page and the contact data that is given to him. Or he can create an Issue Ticket with the details of his request and either send it to colleages via the Search Page or put it on the Open Issue Forum where colleagues with the appropriate skill can contact him. Skillify has a very powerfull page for the creation of tickets that takes care of the success of each ticket by organising the ticket data in the best possible way.

The Profile Editor is the feature rich Page that gives the employee the opportunity to represent themselves with their full skillset incl. uploading documents and images, adding Certifications, Experiences, Education and of course skills.

The Profile Search Page

The Profile Search Page lets the user search for suitable profiles regarding their issue. The user can create a ticket and send it to the found colleagues or get in contact directly for simpler questions where a simple answer is sufficient.

The Ticket Creator

The Ticket Creator lets the user create a detailed description of the issue. Documents and Images can be uploaded, stakeholders can be assigned, the urgency can be set and many more.

The Open Issue Forum

Tickets can be published to the Open Issue Forum so that colleagues can see them and get in contact if they know how to help. The idea of the forum is to enable the opposite communication direction from helper to the colleague with the issue.

The News Forum is a way to post knowledge related news openly to all colleagues or privately to a specific user group. The posts can be discussed by users. Several filters allow for more specific search.

The Skillify SQL Server edition has more automated backend processes. The SharePoint edition gives you more direct control over the data and it makes it easier to create different view and reports on the data with the existing SharePoint tools.

A configurable EMail notification service takes care that involved users get the information about important changes on a ticket they are connected to. The service can be configured and even completely be switched off.
